A.
The words and phrases used in this chapter shall, for the purposes of this chapter, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by Article I of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
B. COMMERCIAL VEHICLE(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) CURBLINE HOLIDAYS
The following words and phrases, which are not defined by Article I of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section for the purposes of this chapter:
Any motor vehicle used for business or commercial purposes, including any trailers and semitrailers, tractors, when used in combination with trailers and semitrailers, and:

Weighing more than 6,000 pounds; or
More than 20 feet in length; or
More than eight feet in width; or
Bearing advertising on the vehicle, including but not limited to the name of the business, telephone number or hours of operation; or
Carrying tools or equipment attached to the outside of the vehicles or carrying tools or equipment visible from outside of the vehicle; or
Bearing a livery license; or
Bearing a taxi license.
The prolongation of the lateral line of a curb or, in the absence of a curb, the lateral boundary line of the roadway.
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
C.
Official time standard. Whenever certain hours are named herein or on traffic control devices, they shall mean the time standard which is in current use in this state.
