Editor's Note: The preamble to this ordinance quoted from Section 2 of the Act of June 25, 1895, relating to payments from state foreign fire insurance tax to municipalities, in that the funds were to be applied for firemen's relief; that the members of the Borough Fire Department had organized the Carlisle Firemen's Relief Association, had applied for its incorporation, and its intent was to provide a fund, from legacies, bequests and other sources, for relief, support and burial of its members and for pensioning of widows and dependents of members killed or who may die of injuries in the line of duty as firemen.
