The Board of Supervisors of Doylestown Township herein establishes the Doylestown Township Traffic Commission, which said Commission shall consist of the following persons:
A. 
The Township Manager.
B. 
The Chief of Police.
C. 
The Police Traffic Safety Officer.
The Doylestown Township Traffic Commission shall have the power and authority to consider, survey and establish regulations within the Township[1] as provided under Section 6109 of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code as set forth in 75 Pa.C.S.A. § 6109.

The Commission shall have the authority to request the Township Engineer and Township Solicitor to assist, when necessary, in the proceedings of the Commission. No action shall be taken by the Commission except by an affirmative vote of at least two members of the Commission. The Commission shall notify the Board of Supervisors, in writing, of any action taken by the Commission with respect to the establishment of traffic regulations within the Township and shall, on an annual basis, provide a report to the Board of Supervisors as to its activities during the preceding year. The report of the Commission's activity shall be provided to the Board of Supervisors immediately prior to the reorganization meeting held in January of each and every year.
This chapter is adopted pursuant to the authority set forth in the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 6109).
