Township of Hempfield, PA Article II Regulating Wastes To Be Discharged To the Sewer System

§ 67-2 Use of system required.

The sewer system is primarily intended to transport and treat sanitary sewage from dwellings, commercial, industrial and public establishments. All sanitary sewage from any residence or establishment in the Authority's service area is required to be discharged into the sewer system where said sewer system is available to the property upon which such residence or establishment is situated.

§ 67-3 Regulations governing discharge.

The discharge of industrial wastes of any kind to the sewer system shall be governed by the industrial pretreatment regulations of the Authority which are adopted hereby and incorporated herein by reference. In the event that any provision of the industrial pretreatment regulations of the Authority are in conflict with the provisions of this Part 1, the industrial pretreatment regulations shall take precedence over the provisions of this Part 1.

§ 67-4 Right to refuse connection.

Nothing contained herein shall limit or diminish the right of Authority to refuse connection of the Authority's sewer system for deleterious industrial wastes.
