From and after the effective date of this chapter it shall be unlawful
for any person to transport explosives on any nonstate highway in the Township
of Marple without complying with the requirements of this article.
Every vehicle while carrying explosives shall have painted on its front,
sides and back in easily legible letters at least four inches high, in contrasting
colors, the word "EXPLOSIVES."
No person shall smoke in or on a vehicle containing explosives, nor
drive such vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of controlled
substances, nor drive such vehicle nor conduct himself in a careless or reckless
manner, nor load or unload such vehicle in a careless manner or while smoking
or intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs or substances, nor
leave such vehicle unattended.
No person shall place or carry in the body of any vehicles containing
explosives any metal tool or other piece of metal, any matches, detonators,
blasting caps or other similar explosive material or any other merchandise
or equipment.
