A. 
The driver of any vehicle overtaking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction shall pass at a safe distance to the left thereof and shall not again drive to the right side of the street until safely clear of such overtaken vehicle.
B. 
The driver of a vehicle shall not drive to the left side of the center line of a highway in overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction unless such left side is clearly visible and is free of oncoming traffic for a sufficient distance ahead to permit such passing to be made in safety.
C. 
The driver of a vehicle upon a highway about to be overtaken and passed by another vehicle approaching from the rear shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on suitable signal being given by the driver of the overtaking vehicle, and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle.
A. 
The driver of a vehicle may overtake and pass upon the right of another vehicle only under the following conditions:
(1) 
When the vehicle overtaken is making or about to make a left turn;
(2) 
Upon any street or roadway which is officially marked for more than one traffic lane in one direction;
(3) 
Upon a one-way street or upon any roadway on which traffic is restricted to one direction of movement whereby the roadway is free from obstructions and of sufficient width for two or more lanes of moving vehicles.
B. 
The driver of a vehicle may overtake and pass another vehicle upon the right only under conditions permitting such movement in safety. In no event shall such movement be made by driving off the pavement main traveled portion or regular moving traffic lane of the roadway.
No driver or operator of any vehicle shall pass another vehicle proceeding in the same direction in a duly marked no-passing zone.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof before a court of competent jurisdiction, shall be fined not less than $25 nor more than $100 and shall pay the costs of prosecution.
This article does not apply to police, fire or rescue vehicles in the course of performance of their function of law enforcement, fire prevention and rescue.
