The Community Development Department shall be
responsible for assigning a building number and street designation
to every house and building in the Township. The owner of every such
house or building shall be required to display the same number on
his property where the house or building is located. This assigned
number and street designation shall be regarded as the official address
of every such house or building, and any discrepancies or disputes
regarding the number and street for any house or building shall be
resolved by the Community Development Department.

The owner of every house and building shall
be required, at the time of applying for a building permit, to obtain
from the Community Development Department a number and street designation
for such house or building and, within 30 days of completion of such
house or building, to display the same number on his property where
the same house or building is located.
The number for each house or building shall
be:
A. Clearly visible from the street on which the number
is assigned.
B. At least three inches high and of proportional width,
except when mounted on a mailbox located at the curb, in which case
it may be one and one-half (1 1/2) inches in height.
C. Of a color which contrasts with its background.
D. Displayed in such a way as to avoid confusion regarding
which house or building is being identified.

Any person violating any of the provisions of
this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof by a District Justice,
be sentenced to pay a fine of up to $600 for each offense, plus costs
of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs,
to imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 30 days.
