Every person convicted of a traffic infraction for a violation of any provision of Article II of this chapter which may or may not also be a violation of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within 18 months thereafter, such a person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $200 or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Violations of § 195-29 shall be in accordance with those penalties as prescribed in the Vehicle and Traffic Law, regarding parking permits for disabled persons.

Articles II and III of this chapter may be enforced by members of the Police Department, Public Safety Department, or any other authority as established by the Greece Town Board. This chapter, as it pertains to violations occurring on a roadway, shall be enforceable if that roadway is a Town- or county-owned road and the violation occurred on that roadway or a portion thereof. Violations that occur on a roadway that is owned by the State of New York are enforceable only under the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Code.

The Master Street Schedule, made a part of this chapter,
denotes the ownership of all roadways within the Town of Greece.
