Unless otherwise provided in the laws of the
Village of Rye Brook or unless another meaning is plainly intended,
the following definitions apply:
The duly appointed persons constituting the Advisory Council
on Parks and Recreation of the Village, formerly known as the "Recreation
and Parks Commission" and as the "Recreation Commission."
Approval by the authorized official or officials of the Village.
The duly appointed persons constituting the Board of Architectural
Review.
The duly elected or appointed persons constituting the Board
of Trustees of the Village.
The duly appointed person occupying the office of Building
Inspector of the Village. If no individual is appointed to fill the
position of Building Inspector, then the Director of Public Works
shall serve as the Building Inspector.
The duly appointed person occupying said office in the Village.
The duly appointed person occupying said office in the Village
or, if the Village contracts for fire services from another municipality,
the duly appointed person occupying said office in the contracted-with
municipality.
The Code of the Village of Rye Brook, New York.
The duly appointed person occupying the office of Director
of Public Works in the Village.
The Fire Department of the Village or of another municipality
with which the Village has a contract for fire services.
Includes a street, way or thoroughfare within the Village.
The duly appointed or elected person occupying said office
in the Village.
An individual, partnership, corporation or association, including
those acting in a fiduciary or representative capacity, whether appointed
by a court or otherwise. Whenever used in any clause prescribing or
imposing a penalty, the word "person" as applied to partnerships or
associations shall include the partners or members thereof, and if
applied to corporations, the officers thereof.
The duly appointed persons constituting the Planning Board
of the Village.
The duly appointed person occupying said office in the Village.
The Police Department of the Village.
Includes the traveled roadway, unpaved portions and sidewalks.
The duly appointed persons constituting the Traffic Commission
of the Village.
The Village of Rye Brook, Westchester County, State of New
York.
The duly appointed person occupying said office in the Village.
The duly appointed person occupying said office in the Village.

of Appeals for the Village.

Unless the context clearly indicates to the
contrary, words used in the present tense include the future and/or
past tenses; words used in the singular number include the plural;
words used in the plural number include the singular; and words used
in the masculine gender include the feminine gender and neuter.
