All piping, traps and fixtures of a plumbing system shall be inspected by the Building Inspector or Plumbing Inspector to ensure compliance with all the requirements of this chapter and the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code as it applies to plumbing, drainage and fuel gas and to ensure that the installation and construction of the system is in accordance with the approved plans for the permit required by Article III of this chapter.
A. 
It shall be the duty of the plumber to notify the Building Inspector or Plumbing Inspector and the owner, or his authorized agent, orally, by telephone or in writing, between the hours of 9:00 am. and 5:00 p.m. not less than 24 hours before the work is inspected or tested in accordance with the provisions of this article.

At the time the permit required by Article III of this chapter is taken out, a written waiver by the owner of the notification may be filed with the Building Inspector or Plumbing Inspector.

A certificate issued by the Building Inspector or Plumbing Inspector certifying compliance with the provisions of this chapter shall be issued to the owner of the premises at the completion of the inspection provided.
