There is hereby created a Police Department[1] for the Village of Rye Brook, to become operational on
or about June 1, 1983.

Village of Rye Brook exercises authority over the Village Police Department
pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of § 5711-q
of the Unconsolidated Laws.
The Mayor is authorized to take all steps which
may be necessary to carry out the terms of this article.

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Rye
Brook exercises authority over the Village Police Department pursuant
to and in accordance with the provisions of § 5711-q of
the Unconsolidated Laws.
