There is hereby created a Police Department[1] for the Village of Rye Brook, to become operational on
or about June 1, 1983.

pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of § 5711-q
of the Unconsolidated Laws.
The Mayor is authorized to take all steps which
may be necessary to carry out the terms of this article.
