It shall be unlawful to discharge any handgun, pistol, firearm, BB gun,
slingshot, squib, rocket, cracker or mixture of gunpowder, projecting lead
or any missiles, provided that this section shall not be construed to prohibit
any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his
duty, any citizen from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending person
or property, or the use of any toy projecting non-life-threatening missiles.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, hunting activities, including the use of firearms
for such purposes, shall be permitted on parcels of land which are at least
50 acres or larger.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not
less than $200 nor more than $500 for each and every offense.
