GENERAL REFERENCES
Compensation of appointed officers — See Charter, Art. III, § C3.51.
Officers and employees — See Ch. 65.
The City Council of the City of Newburgh shall have the power and authority by ordinance or resolution to increase the salary or compensation of any City officer or employee at any time during any fiscal year of the City, either before or after the appointment of any such officer or employee and whether or not such salary or compensation shall previously have been fixed or provided for in the budget of said City for said fiscal year.
This chapter shall supersede the provisions of § 25 of the General City Law and any provisions of the Newburgh City Charter or Code of the City of Newburgh to the extent that the same are inconsistent with this chapter.
