[HISTORY: Adopted by the City Council of the City of Newburgh 11-27-1967. Amendments

The City Council of the City of Newburgh will consent, subject
to the fulfillment of the conditions hereinafter set forth, to the
inclusion of the City of Newburgh in such County Health District when
it is formed by the County Board of Supervisors.
The City Council's consent will be given in reliance upon
and contingent upon the subsequent performance by the County of Orange
and/or the Health District which may be formed in the following conditions:
A.
That all personnel of the present Newburgh Health Department as of
the date of this resolution will be retained in the County Health
District subsequently to be formed, not limited to but including a
full-time Health Officer, a public health nurse, a full-time Secretary
and a full-time environmental health technician.
B.
That the foregoing personnel to be retained will be engaged and continued
at no less than their present salary.
C.
That all clinics duly scheduled by the City of Newburgh Health Department
at any such time as it is integrated into the County Health District
shall be continued and duly conducted at the scheduled locations and,
in addition, that the aforesaid City of Newburgh Health Department
City of Newburgh Health Department personnel shall continue to operate
in and from the local health office as presently situated.
D.
All locations of public health facilities shall be determined by
City Council, City of Newburgh, New York.
E.
That the City of Newburgh reserves the right of withdrawing from
the County Health District one year from the date of the City of Newburgh's
inclusion in the county health unit.
The City Clerk of the City of Newburgh is hereby directed to
forward a certified copy of this resolution to the appropriate officials
of the County of Orange.
