The purpose of this article is to adjust veterans
exemptions for the assessment roll to be finally completed in the
Town of North Greenbush in 1980.
This article is to be known as the "Veterans
Exemption Law."
The veterans exemption from real property taxes
granted on any real property in the Town of North Greenbush pursuant
to § 458 of the Real Property Tax Law shall be increased
or decreased in the same proportion as the assessed valuation of such
property has been increased or decreased on the assessment roll to
be finally completed and filed in 1980 by reason of real property
being assessed at full value on such assessment roll. The adjustment
specified in this section shall be made by the Assessor only if the
Assessor implements a reevaluation of real property on such assessment
roll in compliance with § 306 of the Real Property Tax Law.[1]
