A.
All trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations
in excess of the gross weight of 10 tons are hereby excluded from
all Town streets and highways other than emergency vehicles such as
ambulances, fire trucks or official Town vehicles.

B.
Upon written application by any owner or operator
of a vehicle subject to this section, the Town Board may issue a permit
providing appropriate exemption to such vehicle if it is deemed that
the vehicle is performing essential service and that failure to grant
such permit would create hardship. The permit shall be granted upon
such terms and conditions imposed by the Town Board as are deemed
necessary to prevent damage to Town street and highways and to maintain
the safety of the Town streets and highways. The Town Board may require
the posting of a bond to secure the performance of the terms and conditions
so imposed upon the issuance of the permit.
C.
The regulations established in this section shall
not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise
or other property along the Town streets and highways from which such
vehicles and combinations are otherwise excluded.
