[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Owego 12-1-1969 as Ch. 10 of the 1969 Code of Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Solid waste — See Ch. 169.
No person shall deposit or cause to be deposited any dead animal, fish or putrid meat, entrails, decayed fruit or vegetables or any other filthy or offensive substances in or upon any public street, lane, park or alley or on the surface of the ground in any lot or on the banks of or in the Susquehanna River or in any millrace or on any bank thereof or in any of the canals of the village; or suffer or permit any stagnant or filthy water or putrid or unwholesome meats, decayed fruit or vegetables or other filthy or offensive substance to remain on his or in his house or other building or cellar within the limits of the village.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of an offense punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of not more than $250 or imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
