This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Village of Perry, New York."
The words and terms used in this chapter shall have the same meaning as such words and terms used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning. "Village" means the Village of Perry, New York; "officer" means the chief law enforcement officer of the Village.
A. 
Games of chance may be conducted in the Village by an authorized organization, after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
B. 
The conduct of games of chance on Sundays is not authorized.

This chapter shall take effect upon filing with the Secretary of State after approval thereof by the voters of the Village voting thereon at a general or special Village election.[1]
