The Fire Department of the Village of Port Chester shall consist of a Chief Engineer, two Assistant Engineers who shall be designated and known as First Assistant Engineer and Second Assistant Engineer, respectively, a Superintendent of the Fire Alarm and the following hook and ladder companies at present organized, existing and known and designated as Putman Engine and Hose Company No. 2, Inc., Reliance Engine and Hose Company No. 1, Inc., Harry Howard Hook and Ladder Company No. 1, Inc., Mellor Engine and Hose Company No. 3, Inc., Washington Engine and Hose Company No. 4, Inc., Brooksville Engine and Hose Company No. 5, Inc., and Fire Patrol and Rescue Company No. 1, Inc., of the Port Chester Fire Department. There shall also be attached to each fire engine company a hose company which, when regularly organized, shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of regular firemen and be subject to the ordinances of this village and of said Fire Department. Every person, at the time of his election as a member of the Fire Department of this village, shall be a resident of said Village of Port Chester and shall be of the age of 18 years or upwards.

Section 10-1006 of the Village Law of the State of New York, insofar as the same applies to the election and appointment of volunteer members of the village fire companies, is hereby adopted.
