This article shall apply to all special elections held within the City
of Port Jervis under authority of the City Charter, Code of the City of Port
Jervis, the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York or any other
legislation permitting or requiring a special election.
Only those persons who are duly qualified and registered voters in accordance
with Article 5 of the Election Law of the State of New York and residents
of the City of Port Jervis shall be eligible to vote in any special election
held in and for the City of Port Jervis.
Polling places for all special elections shall be those designated by
the Common Council pursuant to § 4-104 of the Election Law.
Polling places shall be open to voting from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m.
on the special election date, except when the special election is held together
with a primary or general election, in which case the polls shall be open
the same hours as for the primary or general election.
