[HISTORY: Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Port Jervis 7-27-1964 as part of Ch. 6 of the 1964 Code of Ordinances (Ch. 71 of the 1981 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person shall bury any dead human body within the City except in one of the cemeteries therein.
No person shall, without authority, dig any grave, erect any fence, railing, gravestone or other construction or dig any sod in any of the cemeteries of the City.
Each and every grave within the limits of the City in which the body of any deceased person shall be buried shall be at least five feet deep.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article I, General Penalty.
