[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Tonawanda 7-15-1974 as Chapter 34 of the 1974 Code of the Town of Tonawanda. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Horseback riding in parks — See Ch. 142.

No person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation shall carry on or conduct the business of hiring of horses for horseback riding, commonly known as the "business of conducting a riding academy," without first obtaining from the Town Clerk of the Town of Tonawanda a permit therefor, which permit may be granted upon written application of the person, firm, copartnership, association or corporation desiring to conduct and operate said business of hiring horses for horseback riding, showing the place where such business or proposed business will be located, the name of the person or persons, if individuals, conducting or about to conduct the same and, if a corporation or association, the names and residences of the respective officers thereof, and by paying, at the time of filing such application, a fee for such permit, which fee is hereby fixed in the sum of $15 per year. Each such permit shall expire on December 31 succeeding its issuance.

A. 
Any violation by a person, firm or corporation of any provision of this chapter shall be deemed a violation punishable by a fine not to exceed $250 or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed 15 days, or both.
B. 
Any person who takes part in or assists in any violation of this chapter shall also be subject to the penalties provided herein.
C. 
Each day that a violation of this chapter is committed or permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
