A. 
No hydrant shall be used for any purpose other than the extinguishing of fires, periodic testing of the fire-protection system or periodic drills by a fire department, unless a permit for special use is filed with the Water Office and the fee paid.
B. 
Proper fire officials shall notify the Town within 24 hours after the use of a Town hydrant for public fire protection to enable the Town to inspect the hydrant and determine whether it has been returned to its proper operating condition. A hydrant user's failure to return a hydrant to its proper operating condition shall be deemed a violation of this chapter.
