Heretofore lawful uses of a building, and the
reasonable accessory uses thereto, existing at the time when this
chapter or any amendment thereto becomes effective may be continued,
and no performance standards use permit or special use permit shall
be required to continue such use.

A nonconforming use shall not be changed in
use, expanded, reconstructed or structurally altered except to a use
in compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
A nonconforming use if changed to a conforming
use may not thereafter be changed back to any nonconforming use.
Whenever a nonconforming use of any premises
or a building or a portion thereof has been discontinued for a period
of six months, such nonconforming use shall not be reestablished,
and all future use shall be in conformity with the provisions of this
chapter.
