The Board of Township Supervisors may from time to time amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal this chapter, including the
Zoning Map.
Before voting on the enactment of an amendment,
the Board of Township Supervisors shall hold a public hearing thereon,
pursuant to public notice.
Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance may be initiated
by the Township Planning Commission, the Township Board of Supervisors
or a landowner in the Township.
A. In the case of all proposed amendments, a copy shall
be submitted to the County Planning Commission not less than 30 days
prior to the hearing by the Board of Supervisors.
B. In the case of amendments other than those initiated
by the Township Planning Commission, the proposal shall be submitted
to the Township Planning Commission at least 30 days prior to the
hearing to provide the Planning Commission with an opportunity to
submit comments and recommendations.
If, after any public hearing held upon an amendment,
the proposed amendment in revised or further revised to include land
previously not affected by it, the Board of Township Supervisors shall
hold another public hearing, pursuant to public notices, before proceeding
to vote on the amendment.

Public notice of hearings for amendments to
the Zoning Ordinance, proceedings of the Zoning Hearing Board or applications
for development for which a hearing is required shall be published
in a newspaper of general circulation in the Township. The notice
shall be published once each week for two successive weeks and shall
state the time and place for the hearing and the particular nature
of the matter to be discussed. The first publication shall be not
more than 30 days nor fewer than seven days from the date of the hearing.
