This chapter shall be known as the "Issuance of Appearance Tickets
by Public Servants of the Village of Liverpool Law of the Village
of Liverpool."
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize public servants
of the Village of Liverpool to issue and serve appearance tickets
in connection with violations of state statutes or local laws, ordinances
or rules and regulations of the Village which the public servants
are authorized or required to enforce.

The following public servants of the Village of Liverpool are
hereby authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets with respect
to violations of state statutes or local laws, ordinances or rules
or regulations of the Village of Liverpool that such public servants
are, respectively, required or authorized to enforce:
A. Code
Enforcement Officer: New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building
Code, Building Code enforcement laws and zoning and planning laws.

B. Fire
Marshal: New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code
and fire prevention enforcement laws.
C. Village
Clerk: the licensing and regulation of peddlers and solicitors.
D. Members
of the Police Department vehicles and traffic.
E. Superintendent
of the Department of Public Works or the Deputy Superintendent of
the Department of Public Works: any statute, local law, ordinance,
rule or regulation relating to health and sanitation; streets or sidewalks;
garbage, rubbish or refuse.

An appearance ticket other than for a parking violation shall
be served personally.
