Editor's Note: This local law superseded the provisions of former
Ch. 5, Board of Assessment Review, adopted 5-12-1999 by L.L. No. 4-1999.
[Adopted 4-11-2001 by L.L. No. 1-2001]
This article will be known as the "Board of Assessment Review Law of
the Town of Lloyd." It is the intent of this article to change the date for
hearing of complaints by the Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Lloyd
from the fourth Wednesday in May to the fourth Tuesday in May.
This article is enacted pursuant to the authority granted by the Municipal
Home Rule Law and by Real Property Tax Law § 512, Subdivision 1-a.
As of the effective date of this article, the Board of Assessment Review
for the Town of Lloyd shall meet for the purpose of hearing of complaints,
as required by Real Property Tax Law § 512, on the fourth Tuesday
in May, and it shall meet as many days thereafter as the Board deems necessary.
The provisions of this article shall not be construed to change the date for
the filing of the tentative roll.
