It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a license therefor as provided by Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law, to conduct the game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Lloyd, subject to the provisions of said article and subject to the provisions of the State Lottery Control Law,[1] as enacted and amended, and subject to the provisions of this article, as enacted and ordained.

The license fee for any such license shall be the sum of $10 for each occasion upon which any games of chance are to be conducted under said license, to be disposed of as provided by said Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law.

It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a license, to conduct a day game of bingo within the territorial limits of the Town of Lloyd on the first day of the week, commonly known and designated as "Sunday," subject to the rules and regulations for the conduct of bingo, in the Town of Lloyd, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight.

This article is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York[1] and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Lloyd."

The words and terms used in this article shall have the same meanings as such words and terms are used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or unless the context requires a different meaning:
OFFICER
The chief law enforcement officer of the County of Ulster.

TOWN
The Town of Lloyd.
Games of chance may be conducted in the Town by an authorized organization, after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limitations of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this article. The conduct of games of chance on Sundays is authorized, except on certain Sundays and holidays as set forth in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and except as otherwise provided therein.
Any reference in this article to Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York shall include any legislative enactments passed by the State Legislature of the State of New York amending, superseding or repealing said Article 9-A, and the same shall be made a part of this article by reference as fully as if set forth herein, upon the effective date of such legislation. This article additionally may be amended, from time to time, or superseded or repealed by the Town Board of the Town of Lloyd by a two-thirds vote of said Town Board, and such amendment, superseding legislation or repeal, as the case may be, may be effective and operative not earlier than 30 days following the date of enactment of the local law or ordinance effecting such amendment or repeal, as the case may be. The approval of a majority of the electors of the Town of Lloyd shall not be a condition prerequisite to the taking effect of such local law or ordinance.
