A.
It is determined and ordained by the Town Board of the
Town of Mamakating that it is in the best interest of the residents, taxpayers
and inhabitants of the Town of Mamakating that the existing requirement contained
in Public Officers Law § 3 which requires that the Building Inspector
of the Town of Mamakating be a resident of said town be dispensed with, and
any Building Inspector hereinafter appointed by the Town Board of the Town
of Mamakating need not be a resident of the Town of Mamakating so long as
the person resides in Sullivan, Orange or Ulster County of the State of New
York.
B.
In all other respects, the requirements
of Public Officers Law § 3 as applicable to the foregoing shall
remain in full force and effect.
