It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a
license therefor, to conduct games of chance within the territorial limits
of the Town of Manlius subject to the provisions of Article 9-A of the General
Municipal Law and the provisions of the New York State Racing and Wagering
Board.
Licenses issued hereunder shall be for any day of the week, including
Sunday. Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this section, no games
of chance shall be conducted on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day or New Year's
Eve.
This chapter shall not become operative or effective until it shall
have been approved by a majority of the electors voting on the proposition
relating to said chapter. This proposition shall be presented to the electors
at the general election to be held on November 6, 1979.[1]
