This chapter shall be known and shall be cited as the "Authorization of the Village Code Enforcement Officer to Issue Appearance Tickets."
This chapter is enacted, pursuant to § 10, Subdivision 4(a), of the New York Municipal Home Rule Law and § 150.20, Subdivision 3, of the New York Criminal Procedure Law, for the purpose of authorizing the issuance and service of appearance tickets by the Village Code Enforcement Officer who, by virtue of his office, is authorized or required to enforce any statute, local law, ordinance, rule or regulation.
The Village Code Enforcement Officer, and if there shall be more than one, each Village Code Enforcement Officer, is hereby authorized, pursuant to § 150.20, Subdivision 3, of the New York Criminal Procedure Law, to issue and serve appearance tickets for violations of:
A. 
The New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
B. 
The Code of the Village of Manlius.
C. 
All other Village of Manlius statutes, local laws, ordinances, codes or regulations relating to vehicles and traffic, licensing of occupations or businesses, fire prevention, safety, animal control, health and sanitation, or zoning and planning.
An appearance ticket must be served personally as provided in § 150.40, Subdivision 2, of the New York Criminal Procedure Law.
