Article IV Commercial and Advertising Materials

It shall be unlawful for any person, organization, society, association, company or corporation or other agents or representatives to distribute, throw, cast or place or cause or permit to be distributed, thrown, cast or placed any newspaper, periodical or commercial or advertising material of any nature whatsoever upon the premises of any Village resident who has stated opposition to such distribution and whose address has been listed with the Village pursuant to Subsection C of this section.

Any newspaper, periodical or commercial or advertising material whatsoever which has not been ordered by the occupant of the property which is delivered upon the premises of any Village resident who has not stated opposition to such distribution as set forth in Subsection A above shall be delivered on the front porch or side porch and/or the stoop of said premises and at or on no other place or location of said premises.

The Village of Massapequa Park shall maintain a list, in writing, of the names and addresses of Village residents who have expressed a desire not to receive any commercial or advertising matter whatsoever. That list shall be available from the Village Administrator on request at no fee to the requester.

Any violation of this article shall result in a mandatory minimum fine of $100.

This article shall take effect immediately.
