[Adopted 11-10-1947 (Ch. 72, Art. II of the 1971 Code)]
The Police Commission be and is hereby authorized to purchase the following kinds of police clothing and equipment as may be necessary from time to time, provided that funds have been appropriated for this purpose:
A. 
Sam Browne belts, police caps, white gloves, service stripes, revolvers, twisters, clubs, badges, rule books and flashlight batteries for all members of the Police Department.
B. 
Uniforms, puttees and overcoats for the motorcycle patrolmen.
The above clothing and equipment shall be kept and maintained as the property of the City of Middletown and may be used by the members of the Police Department when authorized by the Police Commission.
