All areas ordered boarded shall be painted a
suitable color similar to the color of the building. The Commissioner
of Public Works shall have full authority to order dangerous structures
or parts thereof immediately vacated by all occupants and to order
the same strengthened, shored, braced and made safe, or demolished,
as he may deem necessary and within the time he may prescribe.
A notice of dangerous conditions shall be posted
upon the premises by the Commissioner of Public Works, and the owner
shall be notified in writing as to the condition and the work to be
done.
The Commissioner of Public Works shall have
the authority to stop the construction, repair, alteration, demolition
or moving of any building or other structure upon which work is being
performed, or order vacated any building or structure which is in
violation of the provisions of this Building Code or of the sworn
statement made at the time application for permit was filed. The Commissioner
of Public Works shall order, in writing, any and all persons in any
way engaged in work on any building or structure to stop and desist
from such work or to continue to occupy the premises, and such work
or occupancy shall not be resumed until the terms of this chapter
and orders of the said Commissioner of Public Works shall have been
fully complied with.
The Commissioner of Public Works shall revoke
the permit if work is not in conformity with the approved plans, specifications
or detailed statement in the application or other working drawings.
Written notice of revocation shall be immediately
served upon the owner or his agent in charge of the work.
