GENERAL REFERENCES
Property maintenance — See Ch. 180.
This chapter shall be known as the "House and Building Numbering Ordinance."
This chapter shall apply to all houses, apartments and other buildings located within the Town of Salina, except those houses, apartments and other buildings constructed on streets or roads where three-digit numbering is already in place.

A. 
Houses. Every owner and occupant of every building in the Town of Salina shall have placed thereon, in a place visible from the street and highway, figures or lettering of four inches minimum in size, which shall be of four digits and shall contrast the color of the building, so that they are clearly legible from the adjacent street or highway, showing the number of the house.
B. 
Apartments, town houses and multiple dwellings. Every owner of every apartment building, town house or multiple-residence complex in the Town of Salina shall also have placed, in a place visible from the street or highway, figures or lettering of four inches minimum in size, which shall be of four digits and shall contrast with the color of the building so that they are clearly legible from the adjacent street or highway. The figures or lettering shall be illuminated or reflective, so as to be clearly visible to the occupant of any emergency vehicle operating on the adjacent street or highway, showing the number of each building.
C. 
Other buildings. Every owner or occupant of any other building or structure, except farm buildings, shall also have placed, in a place visible from the adjacent street or highway, figures or lettering of four inches minimum in size, which shall be of four digits and shall contrast with the color of the building, so that they are clearly legible from the adjacent street or highway, showing the number of the building.
Any owner or occupant who shall fail to place or have placed the number or letter of any building or apartment as required by this chapter, after receiving written notice, shall, after the expiration of two weeks from the date of service of such written notice, be guilty of a violation of this chapter and may be punished in accordance herewith.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be liable to a penalty set in accordance with Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty.
