It shall be unlawful for the owner, operator, driver or occupant of any motor-propelled vehicle, including but not limited to automobiles, trucks, buses, motorcycles and motor bikes to permit the motor or motors to run or continue in operation while parked or stationary, upon any street, in any garage or any driveway in the Village of Saugerties, Ulster County, New York, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
No individual, owner, operator, driver or occupant of a motor vehicle, motorcycle or motor bike shall operate or permit said vehicle so as to cause unnecessary or excessive exhaust noise, braking noise, tire squealing or horn-blowing noise at any time, and, in particular, but not limited to, starting or stopping said motor-driven machine as referred to hereinbefore in this article.
Any person creating, aiding or abetting the violation of this article, shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit and pay a penalty of not more than $250 or imprisonment for a term not more than 15 days, or both.
