No person or corporation shall erect or cause to be erected any telegraph, telephone or electric light pole in or upon any street, alley or public grounds, or string any wire in, over or upon the streets or public grounds, or upon, over or in front of any building or buildings, without the consent of the Village Board.
No person shall permit snow or ice to accumulate upon any building adjacent to any street or sidewalk, and no person shall permit snow, ice or water to fall from, or throw any snow or ice from, such buildings into or upon any street or sidewalk.[1]

No person shall place, deposit or leave on any street or sidewalk in the Village any ashes, rubbish or any substance whatever, except with approval of the Board of Trustees, or commit any nuisance thereon, or pile up before any door or on any sidewalk or street boxes, casks or other things.
No person shall ride, drive or lead any horse or other animal, except dogs, upon any sidewalk, or draw or push anything containing swill, rubbish, offal or other foul matter upon any sidewalk.

The owner or occupant of any real property abutting any sidewalk in the Village of Saugerties, whether vacant or improved by any buildings, shall be responsible for maintenance of such sidewalk. Sidewalks should be kept as level as possible so as to prevent pedestrian accidents.

An offense against the provisions of this article shall constitute a violation under the Penal Law and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
