B.
Every vehicle stopped, standing or parked upon a roadway
shall be so stopped, standing or parked with the right-hand wheels
of such vehicle parallel to and within 12 inches of the right-hand
curb, or where there is no curb, within 12 inches of the right-hand
edge of the roadway.
C.
No person shall park a vehicle, except when necessary
to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with law or
the direction of a police officer or traffic control device, within
15 feet of a fire hydrant unless a different distance is indicated
by official signs, markings or parking meters.
D.
No vehicle shall be permitted to be parked or otherwise
positioned by any person on any Village street so as to obstruct ingress
or egress from any sidewalk or steps or permanent walkway leading
to or from a Village highway to a residence.

The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited
on all highways within this Village between the hours of 3:00 a.m.
and 7:00 a.m. beginning on December 15 each year through March 15
of the following year.

lots. The Village of Saugerties owns the following municipal parking

Ulster Avenue/High Street Lot which has nine parking
spaces.
(4)

Street which has 14 parking spaces.
(5)

has 12 parking spaces.
(6)
Beach Parking Lot on Hill Street which has 10 parking
spaces.
B.
Periods prohibited. There shall be no overnight parking
from 2:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. in any of the designated Village of
Saugerties municipal parking lots.
C.
Exceptions. Private, legally registered and insured
passenger vehicles may park overnight in the designated Village of
Saugerties parking lots but only in the spaces marked for overnight
parking, as follows:
(1)
John Street Lot: 16 spaces marked for overnight parking.
(2)
Partition Street/Russell Street Lot: 36 spaces marked
for overnight parking.
(3)
Ulster Avenue/High Street Lot: four spaces marked
for overnight parking.
(4)
Tina Chorvas Memorial Waterfront Lot on East Bridge
Street: five spaces marked for overnight parking.
(5)
Beach Lot on South Partition Street: three spaces
marked for overnight parking.

D.
Removal of vehicles. In addition to any other penalties
or fines imposed for the unlawful parking of a vehicle, the Village
of Saugerties Police Department is hereby authorized and directed
to provide for the removal and storage of any vehicle, trailer, boat,
motorcycle, camper, recreational vehicle, etc., parked in any of the
noted Village of Saugerties lots during any time that the restrictions
herein imposed are in effect.[1] Said towing will be at the expense of the owner of the
illegally parked vehicle, trailer, boat, motorcycle, camper, recreational
vehicle, etc.
