A. 
All earth surfaces of slopes and disturbed areas related in any way to roads being constructed shall be covered with a minimum of four inches of topsoil and seeded. Work shall be performed in accordance with the New York State Department of Transportation Specifications.
B. 
Topsoil shall be stripped from the road area and stockpiled for this purpose. If insufficient topsoil is available, it shall be imported.
C. 
Seed shall be placed at a rate of 150 pounds per acre in such a manner and of such consistency to produce a hardy grass that will produce a turf which will stabilize the slope.
D. 
All work and materials used under this item shall meet the approval of the Town Engineer and shall be done in accordance with town ordinances and regulations pertaining thereto.
Street name signs shall be installed at all street intersections as shown on the approved plan or as directed by the Town Engineer. Street name signs shall be extruded aluminum 0.091 inch thick, 6 3/4 inches high, 30 inches long, green with white lettering; heavy-duty aluminum post cap for two-and-three-eighths-inch outside diameter post; 90 aluminum bracket with self-locking slots; galvanized tubular sign posts 2 3/8 inches outside diameter by 12 feet long; high strength sign post (channel type green), 12 feet long, three pounds per foot.
Monuments shall be set where required by the Town Engineer and/or as shown on the approved plan of the subdivision. Material shall be two-thousand-five-hundred-pounds-per-square-inch concrete or sound durable granite. Dimensions shall be generally four inches square and 3 1/2 feet long. Monuments shall be set by a registered surveyor, shall be well tamped to prevent movement and shall extend three inches above the ground surface, except where they present an obstruction.
A. 
Guide posts and guide rail shall be installed to provide protection for motorists and property where shown on the plan and/or directed by the Town Engineer. Posts shall be of sound seasoned locust or other species of a pressure-treated lumber approved by the Town Engineer, a minimum of 12 inches in diameter and a minimum of six feet six inches in length, and otherwise meeting requirements of the New York State Department of Transportation Specifications.
B. 
They shall be placed four feet on centers unless otherwise directed by the Town Engineer. Posts shall be buried not less than three feet six inches below the finished ground surface and shall extend two feet 3 1/2 inches above the finished ground surface.
C. 
In certain hazardous locations, reflectorized bands may be required on the guide posts.
D. 
In certain locations a more protective guide rail may be required by the Planning Board on the advice of the Town Engineer. The railing shall be railing as described below and further described in the New York State Department of Transportation Specifications and shall be installed accordingly.
(1) 
Corrugated railing shall consist of twelve-gauge corrugated "W" beams connected to a four-inch by six-inch I beam by a four-inch by six-inch spacer block set 27 inches to 30 inches above grade, meeting the requirements of the current New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials, Sections 606 and 710.
(2) 
Box beam railing shall consist of six-foot by three-sixteenths-inch steel, ASTM A36 seamless structural tubing. Posts shall be 315.7 beams and shall be spaced either six feet or three feet apart, depending on the deflection design. The installation and materials shall conform to Sections 606 and 710 of the current New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials.
E. 
End sections (approach and end treatments) shall be placed in such a manner so as not to be a hazard. The end sections shall also be sloped to provide additional safety for vehicles striking them and shall be anchored below ground to a concrete dead-man to give stability to adjoining sections.

A. 
Driveways shall be constructed in accordance with these regulations and § 170-36E.
B. 
The portion of the driveway between the edge of pavement and the right-of-way or property line shall consist of a two-inch single course of bituminous concrete on a base of six inches of Item 304.05 or equal approved material, laid on a properly prepared subgrade. Each course shall be properly rolled with a roller suitable for driveway installation. The work shall be done by competent personnel with experience in such installations.
C.

D. 
For a common driveway in a DRD, the minimum radius at intersections shall be 25 feet, and the minimum radius of horizontal curves at the center line shall be 100 feet.
E. 
The two asphalt surface courses for common driveways in a DRD shall consist of a one-inch compacted layer installed on a 1 1/2 inch compacted binder layer installed on a six-inch Item 304.05 compacted depth.
F. 
The maximum length of a common driveway in a DRD shall be 600 feet, unless otherwise modified by the Planning Board.
G. 
Where a vacant lot exists and it is not determined where the house will be located, the building of the driveway shall become the responsibility of the home builder and the owner to abide by these regulations.
Dry hydrants shall be installed where public water is not available, as required by the Planning Board. The dry hydrant shall be provided with a four-and-one-half-inch streamer connection. The pipe shall be of ductile iron, Class 52, with an approved screen to prevent large objects from entering and damaging the pumper intake strainer.
