§ 60-1 Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES

Includes but is not limited to Class A poisons; Class A Fireworks; radioactive substances; explosives; unregistered handguns; toxic gases, chemicals and cultures; unstable flammables; dangerous animals, plants or laboratory viruses; high-energy emitters; and any other materials, devices or activities deemed hazardous by the Chief of Police, Mayor, Board of Trustees or Public Works Superintendent.

§ 60-2 Transportation, storage or disposal restricted.

It is hereby unlawful to manufacture, transport, store, generate, handle, discharge, dispose of or abandon hazardous substances, as herein defined, or any other materials which could adversely affect the health, safety, welfare or ecology of the Village without prior approval and a special written permit from the Board of Trustees.
