[Added 6-6-1996]
A.
This default zoning article is designated to provide
a zoning classification for areas which currently do not have a zoning
classification. These areas include federally owned land, state-owned
land, county-owned land and Town-owned land. This designation would
occur upon the sale or deeding of the property in question to a nongovernmental
agency.
B.
Upon sale or deeding of the above-mentioned properties,
the zoning classification of that property shall immediately, without
any additional Town Board action, become the same as the adjacent
zoning district. If the property in question is contiguous to more
than one zoning district, then the new zoning classification shall
become the most restrictive of the adjacent zoning districts. This
shall not be construed as prohibiting any new property owner from
requesting a zoning change from the Town Board either prior to purchase
or deeding or after purchase or deeding.
C.
Upon sale or deeding of any portion of that property
in the Town of Wilton located on County Route 33 and County Route
34, currently owned by the State of New York, known as the "Wilton
Developmental Center," the zoning classification of that property
shall immediately, without any additional Town Board action, become
an I-1 Industrial District. This shall not be construed as prohibiting
any new property owner from requesting a zoning change from the Town
Board either prior to purchase or deeding or after purchase or deeding.
