Editor's Note: This ordinance also repealed former Ch. 137, Plumbing, adopted 11-28-1994 by Ord. No. 94-2, and served as a correction of Ord. No. 98-1, adopted 4-27-1998, which ordinance was never codified per instruction of the Borough.
A certain document, copies of which are on file in the offices of the Borough of Jenkintown, being marked and designated as the "International Plumbing Code, 1997," be and is hereby adopted as the Plumbing Code of the Borough of Jenkintown, in the State of Pennsylvania, for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems in the Borough of Jenkintown and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such International Plumbing Code, 1997 Edition, published by the International Code Council, on file in the office of the Borough of Jenkintown, are hereby referred to and made part hereto as if fully set out in this chapter.
The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
A. 
In Section 101.1, insert "Borough of Jenkintown."
B. 
In Section 106.5.2, insert "as adopted by resolution."
C. 
In Section 106.5.3, insert "as adopted by resolution."
D. 
In Section 108.4, insert "summary," "$1,000" and "30 days."
E. 
In Section 108.5, insert "no less than "$100" and no more than "$1,000."
F. 
In Section 305.6.1, insert "24 inches" and "24 inches."
G. 
In Section 604.1, add: "Water service pipe. All water service installed underground shall be of approved copper pipe or tubing."
