The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
A. 
The purpose of this section is to facilitate the removal of debris and snow from the streets, highways, alleys and public places by the Village of Geneseo and its employees.
B. 
No vehicle, motor-driven or otherwise, shall be parked or permitted to stand on any street, highway, sidewalk, alley, boulevard or public place within the corporate limits of the Village of Geneseo between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., excepting the municipal lot.

A. 
Where the Village of Geneseo has provided off-street public parking areas, such areas shall be zoned, marked and posted with suitable signs.
B. 
The parking or standing of vehicles in any public parking lot owned and operated by the Village of Geneseo for a period longer than 24 hours at any one time is hereby prohibited.
A. 
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XI (§ 123-60), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
In addition to those areas designated in Subsection A, parking is also prohibited within 30 feet of any legally erected stop sign and anywhere else within the Village as shall be deemed appropriate by the Board of Trustees for the safe movement of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic where appropriate signs have been erected to that effect.
C. 
No vehicle, motor vehicle or motorcycle shall be driven or parked within the Village limits on any seeded or planted area between the curbline and sidewalk of any public street (the boulevard), or in any driveway or upon any sidewalk in such a manner as to interfere with the lawful use of such sidewalk or public street.

No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XII (§ 123-61), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIII (§ 123-62), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XIV (§ 123-63) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XV (§ 123-64) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVI (§ 123-65) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVI, attached to and made a part of this chapter.

No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XVII (§ 123-66) at any time between the hours listed in Schedule XVII Monday through Friday, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVII, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XVIII (§ 123-67) except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
The locations described in Schedule XIX (§ 123-68), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XX (§ 123-69), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XXI (§ 123-70), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.

No vehicle shall be parked in the Village of Geneseo between the front of any structure and the street, except in designated paved or stone driveways. The total width of all driveways and other vehicular parking areas shall not exceed 33 feet in width or 33% of front yard width, measured at the building setback line, whichever is less. The parking or storage of vehicles upon lawns or other unimproved areas shall not be permitted on any lot in a residential district.
A. 
Fire lanes designated; posting of signs. Every street, alley or driveway accessible to the public, with the exception of those leading to and from private residences, shall be considered fire lanes within the meaning of this section. When such thoroughfares are not restricted in other sections of this chapter and when it is deemed advisable by the Fire Chief, appropriate signs may be erected designating such areas as fire lanes.
B. 
Parking prohibited in certain cases. Where it is deemed advisable by the Fire Chief to restrict parking in certain fire lanes so as to allow the safe passage of fire apparatus, parking shall be restricted or prohibited, and suitable signs shall be erected.
