§ 268-12 Vehicles over designated weight excluded from certain streets.

Vehicles with a gross weight or registered gross weight in excess of six tons are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule 6 (§ 268-23), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets. Said Schedule 6 (§ 268-23) is attached to and made a part of this chapter.

§ 268-13 Parking of trucks, trailers, and certain other vehicles.

Parking of vehicles in excess of six tons prohibited. No person shall park a truck, tractor, trailer, semi-trailer or omnibus having a gross vehicle weight or a registered gross weight in excess of six tons upon any street, driveway, or yard within any residential area within the Borough of Netcong; provided, however, that nothing herein shall prohibit the parking of a vehicle for the purpose of installing, maintaining or performing public utility services.

Overnight parking of certain vehicles prohibited. Between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. every day, it shall be unlawful for any person to park an omnibus, school bus, school vehicle Type I, school vehicle Type II, pole trailer, recreation vehicle, road tractor, trailer, farm trailer, semi trailer, truck tractor, tow truck, any other vehicle in excess of 25 feet in overall length, or any combination thereof, or any vehicle that when parked has a width that occupies one-third or more of the roadway on which it is parked, on any street, highway, or public place in the Borough of Netcong.

Violations and penalties. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this section shall be fined not less than $25 nor more than $500 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
