Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140,
there is hereby established the office of Municipal Engineer, who
shall be designated as the "Borough Engineer."
The Borough Engineer shall be appointed by the
Mayor with the advice and consent of the Borough Council.
The term of the Borough Engineer shall be three
years from the date of such appointment and the advice and consent
of the Borough Council.
The Borough Engineer shall perform such duties
as are assigned from time to time by the Mayor or Council.
The retainer of the Borough Engineer shall be
fixed by an annual salary by the Borough of North Arlington, additional
fees to be approved by the Council.
