A. No person shall park a commercial vehicle on any street between the
hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. weekdays and from 9:00 p.m. Friday
through 6:00 a.m. Monday except when engaged in an active job or service
on that street.
B. In circumstances where a contractor is involved in an active job
or service on that street that will last more than 12 hours, the contractor
may apply for a waiver permit to allow for the overnight parking of
a commercial vehicle on that street which shall be good for up to
five days. The waiver permit is to be reviewed and, when acceptable,
issued by the Oceanport Police Department.
C. A violation of this section shall be subsequent to a penalty of $100 for a first offense. All subsequent offenses shall be subject to the general penalty provisions of §
1-15.
The provisions of this article imposing a time
limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe
other or more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping,
standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138,
any other New Jersey statute, or as hereinafter provided.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule I (§
64-33) attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule II (§
64-34) of any day upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule II attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule III (§
64-35) (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule III attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown on Schedule IV (§
64-36) at any time between the hours listed on said schedule of any day specified upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IV attached to and made part of this chapter.
