Unless the context otherwise indicates, the following definitions shall
be used in the interpretation and construction of this chapter:
A power vessel as defined in N.J.S.A. 12:7-62.
All parcels or lots owned by the Borough other than public rights-of-way.
Any street or road, whether improved or unimproved, depicted as a
public thoroughfare on the Official Tax Map of the Borough.
A.
It shall be unlawful for any person to launch personal
watercraft from any public land or right-of-way providing direct access to
any river or waterway within the confines of the Borough of Oceanport or to
transport personal watercraft over and cross any public land or within 50
feet of the waterline of any right-of-way.
B.
The restrictions contained in this section shall not
apply to any public boat launching facility where it shall be lawful to transport
and launch personal watercraft consistent with the provisions of N.J.S.A.
12:7-62 et seq.
