The owner or owners, occupant or occupants of any premises abutting or bordering upon any street, avenue or highway in the Borough of Paulsboro shall remove all ice or snow from the sidewalks of any such street, avenue or highway within 12 hours of daylight after the same shall be formed or fall thereon, and all ice and snow shall be thrown at least two feet from the curb.

The cost and expense paid and incurred by such Overseer of the Highways or other officer aforesaid for removing such ice or snow from such sidewalks shall be ascertained by the Council of said Borough and certified to the Assessor of said Borough, and such expense shall be added to the tax or taxes of the premises abutting or bordering upon any such street, avenue or highway aforesaid, to be collected according to law, and shall be a lien upon said premises until paid.

The owner(s) or occupant(s) of any premises abutting or bordering upon any street, avenue or highway in the Borough of Paulsboro who violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of $25 for the first offense and $50 for the second offense. For a third or subsequent offense, the fine shall be not less than $50 nor more than $500 for each offense.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately.
