Editor's Note: Former Article I, Aged Citizens'
Exemption, adopted 8-15-1961 by Ord. No. 428, was repealed 5-21-1968
by Ord No. 493.
All bills for taxes shall be payable at the
office of the Borough Collector. If such bills are not paid on or
before the first day of February for the first quarter, the first
day of May for the second quarter, the first day of August for the
third quarter and the first day of November for the fourth quarter
there shall be interest charged for the nonpayment of taxes or assessments,
which interest shall not exceed 8% per annum on the first $1,000 of
the delinquency, and 12% per annum on any amount in excess of $1,000.
This ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon final passage and publication as provided by law.
